Multiple Years / Frank Gifford Passes at Age 84
NFL Hall of Famer Frank Gifford died Sunday morning of natural causes at the age of 84, one week before what would have been his 85th birthday. Gifford played his entire career for the New York Giants and was a star wide receiver and running back, winning the 1956 MVP award as he led the Giants to the NFL title that year. An eight-time Pro Bowler, Gifford retired in 1964 and went on to become an influential sports broadcaster, becoming a fixture of Monday Night Football for decades.
