1970s / Communion On The Moon
Astronaut 'Buzz' Aldrin may have been the second man to walk on the moon, but he was the first - and only - person to celebrate Holy Communion on it. NASA kept this secret due to atheist Madalyn Murray O’Hair  who tried to sue them when the Apollo 8 crew broadcasted parts of Genesis while orbiting the moon on Christmas Eve. Before taking his first steps on the moon, Aldrin pulled out a small container of wine and some bread which he had brought from his church near Houston- Webster Presbyterian.
