Featured Member- Stacy aka littlegoldwoman My name is Stacy, I'm 41 and I live in Texas. I am the youngest of 5. My siblings were 13, 14, 19 and 24 when I was born. My first five years were filled with the greatest 60s and 70s music around blaring all the time thanks to my then teenage brother and sister. My brother had tons of records and I listened to them every chance I got. I was allowed to stay home alone in the summer when I was around 8-12. The lady next door was my sitter but she let me hang out in my house and would just come check on me. Its was fabulous. I sat around and ate and watched television all summer! My husbands name is Lance and he is in the Tx Army Guard and went to Iraq for a year. We have 3 boys Cody is 21, Trevan is 11 and Grant is 7. We have two dogs Simona and Moose also we have two cockatiels names Jax and Cate. We also have one boring turtle. We had two but Grant put him on the washing machine and the next minute he was gone. As for jobs, I was a cheerleading coach from 1990 until 2007. I owned my own program from 1998 to 2007. I retired in 2007.I was a photographer in high school and our year books are loaded with pictures I took. I continued that hobby well into adulthood. In 2004 I opened a free gallery of my "stock" type photos. My photos have been used in tons of stuff. Ive been the cover of at least 3 books that I know of. A handful of magazines, My photos have been used in two games, hundreds of advertisements and one was recently featured on Good Morning America. While my husband was in Bosnia I bought Photoshop and taught myself. I got so good I began teaching online classes. My main thing right now is home schooling my kids. Cody is out of school but Trevan is in 6th and Grant is in 1st. I started home schooling with Cody way back in 1992 so its really not a challenge anymore. Its great fun and I enjoy having my kids with me pretty much all the time. I collect movies and I have over 1000 of them. Do you know how much room that takes up? As I said in my bio I'm slightly obsessed with Oscar. I never miss him and I have stuffed lots of Academy Award trivia in my head. I love old stuff and collect barbies, sesame street stuff, star wars stuff, and tons of other stuff I don't need. Ill be sure and post some pix soon. Future plans are to sell our house (were packing now) and buy an RV and be full timers.

Featured Member -Nbmike Hi everyone. My name is Michael “Nbmike” Cormier. I will be turning 44 yrs old this summer, so while I may not be as old as the trees, unicorns, and dinosaurs, I’m definitely older than Compact Discs, MP3 Players, and Plasma TV. I am a single dad to my beautiful daughter Rhiannon (She thinks she’s 14 going on 40, which makes me often feel like I’m 80 lol). Ever since I found this site in November, I have enjoyed the trivia and memories found here. The people here are top notch at providing info when your memory kind of escapes you. I want to thank you all for welcoming me so warmly the last few months, and a big thanks to Steve for creating such a great site. OK, a little about me. I was born here in Saint John, NB Canada in 1965. I grew up in a small community outside of Saint John called Grand Bay, and lived there until I moved to the big city,(lol ….big city for NB, population, 70000 or so) In 1984, I started working as a radio announcer in town doing weekend and swing shifts. The job lasted a couple of years, but started a lifelong love with musical trivia, or even trivia in general. It was there that I found out about such things as plagiarism (Brian Wilson can say it was unintentional, but SURFIN USA just sounds like Chuck Berry’s SWEET LITTLE SIXTEEN with new lyrics)! We also played vinyl records back in those days, so I kinda feel like a dinosaur sometimes. lol After leaving the radio announcing job, I became a jack of all trades, until nagging back problems left me unemployed in 1994, and now I concentrate on raising my child and trying to develop projects. I have always had an interest in writing comedy, and have written some musical parodies that have made a few people laugh on a few occasions. I’m not egotistical about my writing by any means, but I have a rule of thumb. If I’m not laughing when I write the lyrics, then I keep running scenarios through my mind until I find the funniest scenario to me. I figure if I don’t find my writing funny, then how is anybody else supposed to? My hometown has some Hollywood connections. Louis B Mayer’s family moved here from overseas when he was a small child, and he grew up here until he left for Massachusetts when in his late teens, Actor Walter Pidgeon was born and raised here, as well as Lyman Ward, who played Ferris Beuller’s father, and Donald Sutherland was born here, but moved to Nova Scotia with his family when he was a teen. One Hollywood story I have heard is when Walter Pidgeon screen tested for MGM, Louis B Mayer thought he was sucking up to him, and summoned him to his office, and told him in no uncertain terms, that if Walter thought of putting Saint John NB as his hometown was going to gain him favor in Mayer’s eyes, it wasn’t going to work. When he told Mr.Mayer that Saint John WAS his hometown, then they had a laugh together. I am desperately shy in real life, but online I come out of my shell usually. I love participating here, just wish I had more time to contribute. Raising a teenager is like studying for a long and hard exam. You hope you have all the right answers, and you spend every waking hour trying to prepare for what’s coming up, but deep in your heart, you know you’re just flying without a net and hoping for the best, but I wouldn’t trade her for the world. The funny thing is that twenty years ago, I never though I had what it takes to be a Dad. I look forward to meeting new members and continuing to engage in trivia challenges and sharing memories with all. Thanks again for such a warm welcome here.

Featured Member- jedwgrn aka Jack My name is Jack and this trek of mine began in Dallas in '49. Raised in Irving, TX, I am one of seven kids which made for a crowd in a small house and you had to not be the last to the table during chow time. Now, I am the father of four and the grandfather of nine and I am proud of everyone of them. Just ask me, I have pictures. My family was and is the primary focus for most of my life and kids in sports and other activities claimed most of my free time. These are the days I thought I would have more time for myself, not so. I seem to be busier now than ever. April marks my 40th anniversary with the US Army in one capacity or another. Talk about being a lifer. In April of '69 I was drafted into the Army in Dallas, spent two years in (infantry and Vietnam) and then got out. The next two years I went to school while a reserve member and then returned to active duty in 1973. My military retirement was effective July of 1992. I retired as a Master Sergeant after serving as a First Sergeant for seven years. Immediately thereafter I returned to service in a civilian capacity, which is where I remain. Today it still is all about soldiers. I work and teach in a dental prosthetics laboratory for an Army residency program that has Army and Navy dentists to include two Canadian officers as residents. I have a job that I really like what I do. So, as I have always asked myself, 'Where to from here?' Haven't got a clue - perhaps this is the last stop, God willing.

Featured Member - Ray- Original YouTube Introductory Video March 2007 To introduce myself to this site...let me start with my original Introductory Video, produced for YouTube, from March of 2007. This pretty much describes me and my involvement in home video. But collecting videos is only one of my facets...I have been collecting pop songs on audiotape since the 1960s (I have a reel-to-reel collection that is in essence a history of Cleveland radio during the 1960s), I have a newspaper collection that I'm trying to sell, and have about 750 45's that I'm still trying to figure out what to do with! I also learned how to become somewhat computer-savvy....I have published two websites (one devoted to my precious Betamax video format, it's at betainfoguide.net, the other devoted to one of the most popular Top 40 AM stations ever to hit Cleveland, WIXY-1260 - that site is at www.wixy1260.com). I am originally from Cleveland but lived in Las Vegas for 4 1/2 wonderful years in the mid-90s, and hope to get back there someday....permanently. Most of my working life has been spent in retail, mainly the restaurant business, although now I'm working at New York Frozen Foods baking bread! I love to meet people with common interests, which is why I'm here; plus I have 7 active channels on YouTube! I married a wonderful Japanese lady in 1980 and we'll soon be celebrating 30 years of married bliss! Take care, and let me hear from you!

Featured Member- LProud aka Lori Proudman-Brown Hi to my friends at YRT! My name is Lori and I was born in upstate NY in June of 1968. I was adopted at 6 months of age and grew up on a dairy farm about an hour southwest of Albany. I love all animals so this was the perfect place for me. My parents worked hard to give me an ideal childhood and succeeded. I would often sneak out of the house as a young child to go visit my "friends" in the barn. I love to read my paternal Grandma's diaries... "Lori was up first thing this morning with toys in one hand and a cat in the other." (1972) I think it was my childhood and the wonderful & comforting memories of it that make YRT such a favorite of mine. I have 3 children, Brianna - age 19, Devon - age 16 & Kayleigh - age 11. I wish they could have grown up when I did. It seems it is more difficult for kids now. There's so much negative stuff for them out there. As much as I love the internet (making new friends, traveling to far off places without leaving home, etc) I think I had a better childhood because of not having it as part of my life. I originally went to college for journalism and dropped out because it wasn't for me. I am not one who is able to always be objective and I don't like the way you have to invade other people's privacy for the sake of a story. I went back to school in for Community/Human Services and now I work as Medicaid eligibility examiner at the Department of Social Services. I like bird watching (raptors) & before I was working full-time I would volunteer with DEC to monitor bald eagles so they could time when to band the eaglets in the Spring. I would accompany them for the local bandings which was always a thrill for me. My other hobby is weather, a real "weather-weenie" as my friends like to call me. I'm a meteorologist-wannabe who was to frightened of physics and math to pursue it as a career. I like to bowl, go fishing and am a pop-culture junkie. I have been told I have a wealth of useless information and take it as a total compliment. I stumbled upon YRT from doing a search for 70s pop culture sites and have been visiting here daily ever since. I love the way a post will prompt my memory of something else and it goes on and on. The people on this site are very welcoming and it feels like "home" on the net. Thank you Steve for the wonderful site and to all of you who help me "go back in time" every day.

Featured Member- Stalzz aka Steve --our 3rd Steve! Hi, I am known as Stalzz on your site. I was born in November, 1964 and I'm from Denver Colorado. I love old movies and old music and old TV shows, and I collect a lot of it on DVD and CD. I also collect celebrity autographed memorabilia. I have over 500 items signed by various celebs from movies and TV shows, with a specialty in character actors and actresses. The only genre of autographs I don't collect are sports figures. I don't collect the autographs to sell them, I collect them to keep them. My most favorite ones are from Astronaut John Glenn (personalized to me), actor Edward G. Robinson and comedians George Burns, Buster Keaton and Harold Lloyd. I have been a part time radio broadcaster for 20 years at Denver's public radio jazz station KUVO- www.kuvo.org I'm single, I've never been married, I have no kids but I do have a black cat named Spooky. I really enjoy seeing all the old TV show clips on You Remember That, especially the musical ones and classic TV commercials.

Featured Member- Mizzouhillbilly aka Scott Hello my YRT friends. Y’all know me as Mizzouhillbilly, but my friends call me Scott. As you can tell from my tag I’m from the great state of Missouri. I was raised in a small town not far from my family’s cattle farm. My father worked for the USGS (grandfather wanted his kids to go to college and not work the farm) and moved us to the west coast in 1982 (I was 16 at the time). I have been in California since. I married my high school sweetheart in ’85 and she has blessed me with 4 beautiful kids. I am very family oriented, so we are a very close knit family. So, my life has been spent doing as much as possible with my family. I was a girl scout (YES! A girl scout) for many years as my wife was the troop leader. At the same time I coached my two oldest from t-ball to softball until they entered high school. I am also a proud cheer dad running all over the country to many cheer competitions. The rest of my time is spent getting a few hours of sleep and working a government job. Oh yeah, I do get to spend some time with my lovely wife. Things are starting to slow down as my kids are getting older allowing more time for myself. My oldest is 21 and about to graduate from UC Berkeley and plans on continuing her education at Cambridge next year. My second is 19 and a sophomore at a local state college and an avid photographer. My third is 17 and is about to graduate high school. She is a competitive cheerleader (like those you see on ESPN not high school) and is headed to Mizzou next year. Then my son is 14 and about to enter high school. He is an avid chef and is planning on opening his own pastry shop after getting his business degree (his words not dads). Once they’re all out of the house I’m headed back to the Ozarks to live my life sitting on the porch in my rocker with a cold one in one hand and my wife in the other. That is my life in a nutshell. I want to thank all my YRT friends for all their posts and support. My kids love seeing all the stuff from my childhood that I always talk about.
