Bill Talbert on Whats My Line U.S. Davis Cup captain Bill Talbert was a mystery challenger on the January 9, 1955 episode of What's My Line. (He immediately followed the very brief appearance of Tony Curtis that same night.)

Bill Talbert was one of the first diabetics to be a world-class athlete. He was often heralded as a great example of how diabetes could be overcome.

Talbert later became the director of the U.S. Open. He guided it through the tennis boom of th early 1970s. He died in 1999.
