If I'm not mistaken, she's wearing a wig that she wears on her movie Mame. I think there was some subtle movie advertising.

Yes, Carl. In the episode there's a reference or two to a musical movie she had recently made.
I think this was a good way to end the series. Lucy had met every other celebrity on the planet, so why not have her meet herself?
