I loved baseball in the 50's, I was such a big fan of the Dodgers. It's just not the same for me anymore.

Isn't kind of an umpire's creed to, 'never miss an opportunity to call an out.' Loved Campy and the Dodgers.

At a baseball umpires' clinic I attended years ago, one of the first things the instructor said in his introduction was, 'Your job is to get 54 outs.'

I've always gone by the adage, 'When in doubt...call out!'
