He's been in the spotlight for more that forty years and seen how fananitcal fans can be. You can't blame him for not answering his fan mail. We all know what happened to John Lennon and the nutcase who stabbed George Harrison. It doesn't sound like grumpiness, but maybe Ringo would like to shut it down.
