The December 1972 edition of The Ring magazine featured quite the cover: Muhammad Ali boasting that he will bring peace to the world! (I think he failed on that prediction.)

I've got most of the issues of The Ring from 1970 to date--plus a few earlier ones from the 1950s.
In the early 1970s Muhammad Ali would be featured on the cover more often than not--sometimes without an accompanying story.
