A little interesting trivia you may not have known~
- In 1948, at the age of 15, she was named Miss Palm Springs.
- Mamie was also signed by Universal Studios when she was 18, with the hope that they could make her their answer to Fox's Marilyn Monroe.
- At 5'4, her measurements were 35-23-35, as a 15 yr old model in 1948; In 1955, as a starlet, she was 36-24-35; In 1997, at 38DD-26-36, she self-described herself by stating, I don't even want to say double-D, because they're even bigger than that.
- Being born Joan Lucille Olander, she took her stage name 'Mamie' from First Lady, Mamie Eisenhower.
- She also claimed to have had an affair with Rock Hudson. ****Ooooo-kay****

For years I thought she was related to Charles Van Doren of the game show scandals. Charles had the brains and Mamie had her (you get the idea).
