I've never seen this before, try to remember that it was Mussolini and his henchmen who were behind this, not the Italian people. In the end it was the partisans who lynched him.

The German propaganda ministry printed similar leaflets that portrayed Winston Churchill as a machine-gun toting gangster and dropped them on London. It totally backfired: The Brits loved it!

I hear ya Naomi. I've seen the pictures of the rath the Italian people exacted on Il Duce and his wife at fall of his empire and the liberation of Italy. A just ending I would say to him and any other Facist! I've read that thousands of Italian soliders would lay down their arms in mass surrenders as opposed to fighting. They won few battles and Mussolini took great pride and triumph over his victory after invading Ethiopia. The Ethiopians fought back with spears and antiquated World War I weaponary while Mussolini had a modern mechanized army and the Ethiopians eventually had to capitulate. I've also read that Hitler's troops had to bail out Italian forces time and time again. I guess their hearts just weren't into it.
