With Winston as its primary sponsor, I think smoking was pretty much mandatory on this show.

I've become so used to celebrities NOT smoking in front of the camera, that this really looks odd.

Me too, Naomi. Smoking on TV now grabs your attention. Nobody thought twice about it in 1955.
