Don Cherry on Inattentive Hockey Spectators Coach's Corner is a hugely popular intermission feature on Hockey Night In Canada. It features the flamboyant and bombastic former coach Don Cherry and the CBC's Ron McLean--who tries his best to keep Cherry under control. This is Cherry at his politically incorrect best from 1992.

Year after year Don (Grapes) Cherry always finishes atop polls as the most recognized person in Canada. He's mobbed wherever he goes.

Did Don Cherry ever win a Stanley Cup as a coach?

No, a Don Cherry-coached team never won the Stanley Cup. He came close, though. He coached the Boston Bruins from 1974-75 through 1978-79. In those five seasons the Bruins reached the Cup finals twice and the semifinals twice. There was never a dull moment. After Cherry was fired in Boston, he coached the dismal Colorado Rockies for one season before accepting his current gig with Hockey Night in Canada.
