Waltons Gong Show Act A very creative Gong Show act from 1977: A contestant plays both John-Boy and Grandpa Walton. This was the winning act that day. (The video quality isn't great at some points. Sorry!)

He even took the trouble of applying makeup to create John-Boy's facial birthmark!

LOL LOL LOL How did those people actually do that program? The Gong
Show is so idiotic it was hilarious.
Some of the people and their acts were unexplainable as well...Not to mention they say that the host was a spy double agent from the USA?? Hmm??? Oh Well, Hollywood is not my cup of tea.....LOL LOL Thanks for the ha-ha

Cathy, do you have a birthmark on your face like John-Boy, or is yours located elsewhere?

Sweets, I don't think Chuck Barris was a spy. That tale comes from Barris' autobiography. I think he was kidding. I hope he was kidding!

George Clooney directed a film on the life of Chuck Barris in 2002...Confessions of a Dangerous Mind.

A review by Chicago Sun-Times' Roger Ebert, questioned the premise of the film, that Barris used The Gong Show as a cover for his role as a CIA agent who killed 33 persons. Wrote Ebert: 'Having been involved in a weekly television show myself, I know for a melancholy fact that there is just not enough time between tapings to fly off to Helsinki and kill for my government.'
