This is indeed the intro for the first season (1978-79) of Mork Mindy. This show is a perfect example of 'if it's not broken, don't fix it!'

During its first season, Mork Mindy was a ratings hit for ABC, finishing third overall. For some mysterious reason, ABC shifted its time slot from Thursday to Sunday. The ratings dropped badly never recovered. Furthermore, ABC made wholesale cast chages. Three key supporting characters were dropped. By 1982, the series was off the air. It didn't hurt Robin Williams' career much, though.
