Thanks MArty, another hit by Seger! Did this man EVER record a bad song??
A little bit of trivia:
- Seger once stated, 'It was just Chris Campbell (bass) David Teegarden (drums) and me in the studio when we cut this. People have asked me for years who this is about. It's an amalgam of characters I met when I first went to Hollywood. All 'Type A' personalities, overachieving, driven.'
- The back-up vocals were done by Dawn, best known for their work with Tony Orlando.

Back in 1978 I was on my second trip to the USA. And one night in Chicago, there was aradioshow on (I stayed at a YMCA on Wabash Avenue at the time). I tried to call in with a Deep Purple request, but failed to get through. Instead I suddenly heard this thundering song, Katmandu by Bob Seger and the Silver Bullitts. I have followed the guy ever since. Nobody knows him in Europe, but he really plays some good, classic rock.
