I hadn't realized this cartoon had it's debut way back in 1957, and became a familiar sight on the original 'Captain Kangaroo Show'. There was Tom, his dog, Manfred the Wonder Dog, the baddie... simple as all get-out line drawings and animation.

Sometimes subject matter was enough. Does that fall under this cartoon? I remember it, it just didn't stand out in my mind!
