Red Skelton's actual name was Richard Bernard Skelton. I'm still working on the other questions.

He are the highlights of John Wayne's Oscar acceptance speech in 1969: I thought some day I might get some award for lasting so long, but I never thought I'd get this particular award. I feel grateful, very humble. If I'd known what I know now, I'd have put a patch on my eye 35 years ago.

Lava, you've got #1 and #3 correct, want to try for the rest?

Lava, you got two out of the five correct. I know some of them were difficult and finding the answers would take a lot of research.

2. When actor Clint Eastwood was
offered his first role in a
spaghetti western, what was his
one stipulation?
He told his producers he'd accept their offer on one condition, that they keep him supplied in little cigars.

4. During the filming of The
Magnificent Seven, what did actor
Yul Brynner do that was so unusual?
And if you're a real genius, can
you explain why he did it?
Yul Brynner hired someone to keep count of how many times co-star Steve McQueen tipped his hat during the film.
He thought McQueen was trying to steal the scenes.

5. What automobile was the very first
to be manufactured with a posi-
traction rear-end?
Ford's Mustang

Thanks for posting the answers, Naomi. The stories about Clint Eastwood and Yul Brynner were news to me. (I had no hope of getting #5; I know nothing about cars.)

My husband is a history and a film buff, as you could probably already guess. He watches the Biography and History channels religiously and unlike me, he remembers everything. This is where we get alot of our trivia from.
