Musical Chairs Game Show I haven't thought about this show for years: Musical Chairs. It was a short-lived music-based game show on CBS that ran for four months in 1975. It is somewhat culturally significant because its emcee, Adam Wade, was the first black game show host.

I don't recall this show, but I do remember Adam Wade, he had a wonderfully smooth voice, much like Johnny Mathis. He also worked with Dr. Jonas Salk on the polio research team.

As I recall, each day's winner got to play for a big-money jackpot at the end of the show. He or she had to rearrange the scrambled lyrics of a song into the correct order.
