This looks like something out of National Lampoon, but apparently this was a real product: Flesh-colored bandages for black people. Tags:SoulAidBandages Added: 8th May 2008 Views: 150 Rating: Posted By:Lava1964
I think this was a good idea, why shouldn't black people have bandages that blend in with the color of their skin? Whites have always had them.
Johnson and Johnson never consulted the average causasian about a color match simply because they have always been made to match our skin tones. It's been so ingrained in our minds that most of us probably have never even thought about it before seeing this ad.
Are these even available now on store shelves? If not, they certainly should be.
I believe Crayola discontinued 'flesh' color crayons because it was now politically incorrect. I only learned about it when it was a question on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire.
