A very classy 1947 advertisement for Ballantine ale. Makes you thirsty just looking at it, doesn't it?

I've never tasted Ale, how is it different from regular beer? I've been so sheltered lol

You're asking the wrong person, Naomi. I'm virtually a teetotaller. I might have two beers a year.
Over to you, Marty...

This makes me a Canadian who doesn't drink beer. I could face deportation.

Ballantine Ale --- my Dad's brew!
Usually, it was Schaefer lager but this was the one ale he used to like. When he wasn't looking, I would sneak a few sips from his bottle.
Anyone here know what was a Ballantine Blast?
|
|
Indeed I do, Classico. A Ballantine Blast was a phrase coined by New York Yankees radio announcer Mel Allen. Since Ballantine sponsored Yankee broadcasts, Allen called every home run hit by the Yankees a Ballantine Blast.

Wasn't this Marty Crane's beer on Fraiser?
