This is a Scottish duo who come from a village not too far from where I live. The Proclaimers were told at the start of their careers, that a group who sang, as they do, with a strong Scots accent wouldn't make it. How wrong could they have been? This song to my knowledge has been a hit in many countries and appears on many a soundtrack to a film along with a few other tracks they have recorded.

Great song.

But whenever the lads were interviewed on TV, I couldn't understand a word they spoke! It's almost easier to understand the announcers on Bounci TV when they report shinty matches!!
