Check out the ad for Trans-Canada Airlines (later Air Canada) from the early 1950s. The prices to Montreal and Toronto are from New York City. What a bargain! Those definitely were the good old days. Recently Air Canada announced that passengers travelling with extra luggage must pay a $25 surcharge per bag. Tags:Trans-CanadaAirlinesad Added: 1st May 2008 Views: 104 Rating: Posted By:Lava1964
I guess it would be a good price if you make what you do today...but pay yesterdays prices. We have a link for the CPI Inflation Calculator and I used the year 1953 for $22 and it said today it would be $175.94. I really think we earn more than what our parents did.
