Some Ed Wynn trivia:

He acquired his stage name from his middle name of Edwin.

He was offered the role of the Wizard in The Wizard of Oz but turned it down.

The voice of Wally Gator in the Hanna-Barbera cartoons is not Ed Wynn's, but it is a superb imitation of Wynn's voice..
