Remembering Walter Brennan and Old Rivers This song is home to Walter Brennan's famous line, "One of these days, I'm gonna climb that mountain" - repeated by most all the impersonators when they are doing a vocal impression of Brennan's unmistakable voice. Mr. Brennan won 3 Oscars as best supporting actor. He was honoured with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The single - Old Rivers, was released in 1962.

One of my all time favorite songs from one of Hollywood's best!!

There's a certain irony to Walter Brennan's fame as a Western star: he was from Massachusetts!

Thanx for posting this gem.

Thanks for posting this. I grew up on westerns and Walter Brennan was always a favorite of mine and my brothers.
