Trivia: This song was co-written by a U.S. Vice President, Charles Dawes, who like Gore, won the Nobel Prize.

This is the only #1 hit ever written by a US Vice President. It was composed in 1912 as 'Melody in A Major' by Charles Gates Dawes, who at that time was a banker, then in 1925 he became VP under Calvin Coolidge, which was the same year he became the Nobel winner.
The lyrics were added in 1951 by Carl Sigman, who also changed the song's name to 'It's All in the Game.'
