Right. He died a week before the 4th of July. After a short funeral, the remaining Who members resumed their tour. We saw them on the 4th of July at Sacramento Valley Amphitheater located just outside Olivehurst, CA.(Which is 45 miles from Sacramento.) It was bittersweet for me, my wife and kids. As I'd said, my daughter, 15 at the time, took up the electric bass and began mimicking John's riffs. She missed seeing her bass mentor by a week. But, we all enjoyed the concert. It was unforgettable.
