Living in Florida since 1980, I would venture to say TWC is on at least one of out tv's whenever we're dealing with a hurricane, or other extreme weather. I've already received feedback from my family as to 'how very much longer are we going to have to sit and watch this crap' But they know it falls on deaf ears...

Ever pay attention to a full forecast and immediately ask what did they say?? Happens to me often. I think it s all the fluff they through in to try a make it sound interesting. Just tell me how to dress fro the next 2 days!

When I relocated to the Mts. of PA.I stopped watching TWC.Local doppler radar and my N.O.A.A. weather radio are only accurate now.In a 10 to 40 mile radius one town has 6 snow and 10 degrees F. the other town 20 miles away will have no snow and be 25 degrees F. A friend lived in a 4 block area of a community and would have snow. The neighbors had none.Snow Squalls here will leave a small area covered with inches in less then an hour. You will drive a mile down the road and it's bright and sunny.I get snow in March.I also noticed how the T.W.C. always paints the worst case scenario.I believe to cover themselves in case they underestimate a storm.

I remember the winter of 1983 as being one of the coldest ever! We were living on the coast of North Carolina, in a beach house, and we nearly froze to death. I watch the weather channel almost every day, at least for an idea of what to expect.

We had an ice storm a few years ago and 100's of thousands were without electricity from 1 to 2 weeks in the dead of winter,We went 8 days. They had contractors from around the US come in to restore power.I saw trucks from Alabama in PA.
