I used to watch their show when I was a kid in Brooklyn. Loved Farfel! This is from the mid 50's right?

My apologies to you for
adding the wrong rating to
this classic tv commercial.
This commercial rates
a ten not a one.
I first watched this Nestles'
Quick chocolate drink mix plug
back in the 1960's.
And I enjoyed it!
I was also lucky enough to meet
and to become friends with the
ventrilquist/entertainer..who did
these plugs for The Nestles candy
co..Mr.James Nelson.
Thanks For Remembering
The Nestles Quick tv commercials
and Mr.Jimmy Nelson and his puppet
palsDanny O'Day andFarfel The Talking
Dog,
Mr.Nostalgia.

There was an article on ventriloquists in Smithsonian Magazine, and Jimmy Nelson thought he lost the Quik commercial auditioned when he snapped Farfel's mouth because he was nervous. But the people at Nestle thought it was funny and he got the commercial.

The snapping mouth was classic. That's what I remember the most about Farfel.
