Anyone else remember this wacky, syndicated game show? Airing from 1974 through 1977, it was sort of a cross between Let's Make A Deal and Deal Or No Deal. A lucky contestant chose one of 30 numbered boxes. A box might contain anything from a worthless prize (known as a clunk) to $25,000--a fantastic sum back then. After choosing a box, the contestant was put through an emotional wringer by host Geoff Edwards. This clip from 1976 provides a good example of what typically occurred on this show. This clip ought to be put in a 1970s time capsule becuase of the split-screen gimmick used in the first 40 seconds and the garish designs on the boxes.
