What is interesting about this commercial is that Rose is wearing his Cincinnati Reds uniform. You don't see that today. Whenever an athlete does a commercial nowadays, he almost always wears a plain uniform or street clothes.

Thats because the advertiser would have to pay the team as well as the player royalties since it appears both approve and use the product. Neither is cheap anymore, both impossible!

Very perceptive, Teresa. There might also be a potential conflict of interest if the player says he uses one brand and a rival company is one of his team's sponsors. I miss the old days!
