I was born and raised at Kowaliga Alabama. Hank Sr. spent a week on Lake Martin drinking Mr. Whites moonshine and wrote the song. Yes there is a wooden indian; when the country store caught fire a few years ago, all that was saved was the indian. Side note, years later after the song and I was drinking Mr. White's son's moonshine, I could always tell when Kowaliga had too much to drink, I'd see 2 of him.

My dad had me listening to Hank Jr before I even know what was what lol. I grew up listening to Hank JR and the Beatles, among others. Cash was one of them. They kick butt!

I'd say what a combination Balance, but the 70s were like that.
1972 have Candyman on the charts at the same time Arlo Guthrie, Procol Harum, David Cassidy, Badfinger, Steely Dan and Joe Crocker all on the charts at the same time, not anything like that today.
And they say we have more diversity today!
