One of my favourite films. Why this didn't gross more at the box office I'll never know ? The soundtrack also hits my cd player at least once every couple of months. James Horner turns out some haunting and evocative music. I'll admit now, that a film without a good soundtrack doesn't stick in my memory very well. I don't understand that one either. This is a favorite of my husband, who's a history buff, especially with anything having to do with the Civil War. I've watched it several times with him, and thought it was quite good.
Great film. It is very accurate too. I watch it every time it's on TV--which seems to be quite frequently--on the Canadian version of the history channel.
