A true sword and sandals epic movie. Charlton Heston was in a fair few of this genre and when the role call is read out, he is up there among the biggest screen legends to grace the silver screen.

I was just 8 yrs old when I first saw The Ten Commandments, and Chuck became my first screen idol. He had the voice and the stature that fit all these films! In the 70's I wrote him a fan letter, it was a few months before he replied, but when he did, he sent a handwritten apology for taking so long, several autographed stills from his films, and some info on the AFI which he was president of at the time. He's been made fun of alot over the years, especially since he became affiliated with the NRI, but truthfully, even though he's a staunch Rep and I'm about as liberal as they come, I have to say that he is one of the nicest people you'd ever want to meet.
