Thanks for posting this Lava, to NY, The Babe was one of our own. My dad told me when he died, hundreds of thousands of candles were lit all over the boroughs to pray for him.
Ruth spent his heyday excessing on the three B's: booze, buffets and bimbos--and he was still the most dominant player in baseball. Those are generally not performance enhancing supplements. Imagine how good Ruth could have been if he actually took care of himself! In my humble opinion, the three most fascinating American men of the 20th century were Babe Ruth, Elvis Presley, and Theodore Roosevelt.
