pogo sticks were exported from Germany to the US based Gimble Brothers Department Store in 1919. i had one of these.but got board with it rather quickly.

i found one of these in the attic when i was a kid. . .the rubber cap had come off the end, and Dad was afraid i'd poke an eye out, i guess (back when toys could really hurt you! lol)

Actually, they were IMPORTED.
