American sprinter Marion Jones 'won' the women's 100 metres at the 2000 Olympics in Sydney. Trouble was she was doped up on illegal steroids. Drug testing didn't catch her, but Jones later admitted to doping and returned her five Olympic medals from Sydney. On January 11, 2008 she was sentenced to six months in the sneezer for lying under oath. Tags:MarionJonesdrugcheatOlympics2000 Added: 11th January 2008 Views: 167 Rating: Posted By:Lava1964
Marion Jones Tainted 100 Metres Gold Medal Comments
I don't have much sympathy for drug cheats. They've ruined my enjoyment of track and field. Everytime somebody does something great, I immediately wonder if he/she is on steroids. If everyone competing in track and field was 100% clean starting today, it would still takes years to restore the public's confidence in the sport. Now that's sad!
