''The Ol' Red Head'' Red Barber announced Yankees games back in the 60s. He sure knew his baseball.

The Yankees shamefully fired Red Barber after the 1966 season. During the last game of the season at Yankee Stadium, when only 400 poeple were in attendance, Barber committed the unpardonable sin of commenting on the dismal crowd.
