Who doesn't love chocolate? Jimmy Nelson's Farfel the dog did a number of commercials for this product between 1955 and 1965. I loved the way this dog said Chaaawwwwwclate. And do you remeber the little snap his jaw made when he said it?

I loved drinking Nestle's Quik...till my
urologist told me chocolate was causing
me to have my kidney stones, then it had
to go...
P.S. they should HAVE NEVER changed
the name to NesQUIK!

I remember an article from Smithsonian Magazine on ventriloquists. Jimmy Nelson recalled that thought he lost the auditioned when Farfel's mouth snapped because he so nervous, but in the people at Nestle thought it was cute and he got the audition.

Nestles' Quick was not the

only sweet product that Mr.Nelson

and his puppets promoted on tv?


They also promoted the hell out of

Nestles' Candy bars and a fruit flavored

drink mix Nestine!

( A Kool Aide rip Off that was so

bad..that none of the kids really drank

it..I drank it and enjoyed it..but my

mother stopped buying it and we never

drank Nestine in our house again)


I was lucky enough to meet and

become friends with Mr.Nelson and

he told about about the successful

promotions of The Nestles Candy and

chocolate drink mix products that he

sold on tv.


Everything that Nestles made he

sold sucessfully..everything..except

for Nestine!

(Which even he admitted he should never

have promoted in the first place)
