I must have been about 4 yrs old when my folks got this record for me. It goes waaay back to 1952, when it was sung by Jimmy Boyd. Can you believe that the record was actually condemned by the Catholic Church in Boston when it was first released on the grounds it mixed sex with Christmas? Boyd, who was only 13 at the time, was widely photographed meeting with the Archdiocese to explain the song!
