She was such a beautiful woman, I always loved her red hair. I don't remember exactly when it was aired, but I watched a documentary on Biography that said she died in 1975 of pneumonia-related complications of brain cancer. Some people believed that her cancer was a result of having been exposed to nuclear fallout during the filming of The Conqueror near St. George, Utah in 1956. Other members of the cast including John Wayne and Agnes Moorehead also died of cancer. During the 13 weeks of filming in the summer of 1955, both the cast and crew were probably dusted with the fallout from the Zucchini test on 5/15/55, and possibly the Tesla test on 3/1/55. By that time, St. George Utah had already received most of the fallout that would later make it the most famous of the downwinder cities.
