Moscow On The Hudson Robin Williams plays a Russian circus musician who defects from the Soviet Union while on a visit to the United States. This clip shows how overwhelming a supermarket can be to someone use to having shortages all their life!

There's a line near the end of the film that struck me as particularly clever: In Moscow, we fight for a crumb of freedom! Here, you s*** on it! It really can't be said any better than that, and the movie is filled with moments that illustrate what makes America such a great, rich, and sometimes frightening experience, and what makes freedom such an important, and sometimes dangerous, concept.

This is so true! I remember reading an article years ago about Martina Navratilova in Sports Illustrated. She defected from communist Czechoslovakia. She said that communism would collapse if everyone in eastern n Europe could see pictures of a typical American supermarket.

I need to see this movie again.

I think it was the last time Williams ever actually acted.

Was a little over emotional and horribly propagandist but it actually worked.
