The Jokers Wild I always liked this game show. The Joker's Wild was a popular program that ran on CBS from 1972 through 1975 and in syndication from 1976 through 1986. It is notable for the return to television of host Jack Barry who left TV after the scandal on his 1950s game show Twenty-One. After Barry died in May 1984 he was replaced as host by Bill Cullen. This clip is from a 1979 show. What a quick game!

Two comments: I thought the guy commited a bigger boo-boo when he missed the Doris Day question. I also wonder whether a question about antonyms truly belongs in a 'grammar' category. Parts of speech and grammar aren't really the same thing.

It's the Joker's Wild where knowledge is king and lady luck is queen. BTW didn't Jim Peck replace Jack Barry after his death and later Bill Cullen?

Total Television doesn't mention anything about Jim Peck hosting The Joker's Wild. It does say that Pat Finn emceed the short-lived 1990 version of this show. However, there was a kids' version called Joker! Joker!! Joker!!! Maybe Jim Peck emceed that. Does anyone know?

He was only a substitute for Jack Barry, and later Bill Cullen.
