I don't normally post recent clips, but this one has to be seen by the widest possible audience. Lauren Caitlin Upton, Miss Teen South Carolina, attempts to answer a question about Americans' poor geography skills. In less than a minute watch her disintegrate into an incoherent babbling bimbo. There's just no other way to describe it.

It wasn't a fair question for her. It required a thoughtful and intelligent answer.
I loved it when she ended a sentence with 'everywhere like such as.' Bless her heart!

According to YouTube, video clips of her response on the website have had over 18 million views. It is the site's most viewed video for the month of September of 2007 and the twenty-sixth most viewed of all time. She has quite an interesting life for a 17 year old, visit:

One comment on YouTube was purportedly written by a classmate of Miss Upton's. This person claimed that what you see in the clip is pretty accurate--she really is that daft. Anyway, she's certainly gotten far more publicity than the pageant winner.
More telling, though, are the many comments on YouTube along the lines of, 'Who cares? She's hot!
