Revlon was founded in the midst of the Great Depression, 1932, by Charles Revson and his brother Joseph, along with a chemist, Charles Lachman, who contributed the "L" in the REVLON name...and it all started with a single product ~ a new type of nail emamel!

It's good to see Revlon is as popular today as back then. What this site made me realize is how many huge companies and products that were staples are now gone.
i remember those bottles of nail polish with the long handles . . they would fascinate me as a kid going with my mom to the beauty 'parlour'!! (i thought it smelled bad, too!) LOL
I remember reading about a Revlon model who became greatly depressed from the pressures of the job (can't remember her name), and she eventually became a born-again-Christian.
