Doris Day on Whats My Line 1954 In this episode of What's My Line from June 20, 1954, Doris Day is the mystery challenger. It is revealed this was her first time ever appearing on television! (Movie stars often didn't lower themselves by making TV appearances in those days.) Que sera sera!

She's number one with me for her comedies and musicals, especially Annie Get Your Gun, and the song they mentioned Secret Love, always been one of my favorites!

My favorite Doris Day-related story: Several years ago a Canadian politician named Stockwell Day proposed that their should be a national referendum on any subject if three percent of the population signed a petition supporting it. A comedy troupe immediately started an Internet petition demanding that Stockwell Day change his first name to Doris. The story got a lot of national attention here in Canada and quickly got the required three percent. Mr. Day's idea died shortly thereafter.
