Wilt Chamberlain Highlights Chamberlain holds 71 NBA records, 62 by himself. Among his records are several that are considered unbreakable, such as averaging 22.9 rebounds for a career or 50.4 points per game in a season, scoring 100 points or 55 rebounds in a single game, scoring 65 or more points 15 times, 50 or more points 118 times.

The NBA and NCAA had to change the free-throw rule because of how athletic Chamberlain was. At the beginning of his college career, the free-throw rule said the shooter could jump forward when he took the shot as long as he released the ball before he landed. Chamberlain turned each free throw into a flying slam dunk, so the rule was changed that required the shooter to remain behind the free-throw line when shooting.

Nobody loves Goliath.

But Chamberlain was the greatest basketball who ever lived. Bar NONE.

I have participated in several online debates with fans of today's NBA. Many of today's younger fans believe he could not match Michael Jordan or Lebron James. Too bad this new generation never saw him play LIVE like I did. He was just the best there ever was. I will go to my grave swearing to that truth.
