One of Ideal's cool "battery operated animal series" toys. Gaylord will walk forward when his leash is pulled once, stop when pulled second time and go backwards when pulled again! He also was designed to walk up shallow stairs. He came with a leash and bone. His nose has a magnet in it which would allow him to pick up the bone with his nose.

i saw that the batteries were not included . . this was the biggest sin in my Dad's eyes . . he must have gotten a present once as a kid on Christmas with no batteries and had to wait . .ever since . . when he got a present for the Grandkids . .he tapes MOUNDS of batteries to the toys . .boy i miss him . . .

I've never seen that ad before. Must have been before my time. Great toy, but a lousy name.
