Yeah she was cute when young. Too bad she turned to radical right wing politics later in life. I know a few French folks and they consider her a national embarrassment.

Hmm, interesting...

I could substitute Barbra Streisand's name or Jane Fonda's name for Brigitte Bardot's and say, 'Yeah, she was cute when she was young. Too bad she turned to extreme liberal politics. I know a few Americans who consider her a national embarrassment.'

Bardot's friend LePen and the FN party are known for their homophobia, hatred for Muslims, and for their efforts to end immigration into France. Neither Streisand nor Fonda have ever stood for anything like that. On the contrary, they vote with the majority party - the same one of Kennedy, Roosevelt, and others who advocate inclusionism, not exclusionism.

BTW, I could substitute Bush and have the same result you claim. ;)

This wasn't intended to be a political post at all.

Regardless of what one thinks of Miss Bardot's politics, I think the French are paying in spades for their blind adherence to inclusionism (a word not in any dictionary I can find). Many of the great cities of western Europe are becoming less and less European--which is cause for great concern among many people.
