Here's a Canadian commercial from 1971 advertising Kentucky Fried Chicken. Yes, it was still Kentucky Fried Chicken then (not the lamentable KFC acronym) and, yes, Canada used to be that overwhelmingly Caucasian back then. Yup. I remember watching NHL on TV in those days and the arena audiences were always 100 % Caucasian. Times have changed for Canada and that's good for them!
Census figures show that 20% of people living in Canada in 2006 were not born here. In Toronto, it's more than half. Canada's demographics are surely changing, but I can attest the crowds at hockey games are still well over 90% Caucasian.
