1964 Hair Curlers Each size hair curler in this 1964 ad by Tip-Top is COLOR CODED. An entire rainbow of colors! But the ad assures that the conservative among us can still purchase these in brown. LOL The Tip-Top company had an unbelievable array of very affordable beauty products at Woolworths and drugstores.

The ad copy here for these 1964 color coded hair curlers is priceless. It sounds like these aluminum curlers could take a licking and keep on ticking! You could sterilize them or use any permanent hair solution including hair color on them with no consequence. And to top it off, the color coding makes it easy to cope with the jumble in your curler basket. Who could ask for anything more?

LOL That's funny eric1957! I remember a cartoon where two aliens were crouching behind a bush outside of a picture window of a home where a woman with a head full of curlers was sitting in her easy chair reading the newspaper. One alien says to the other, I keep trying to contact her but there's no response!
